Daniel Craig is seen in almost every TV show and Sam Smith’s Bond song airs a couple of times a day. It can’t be missed, the worldwide media campaign is launched in full force. Soon the new James Bond film Spectre premieres! I always look forward to it. The spectacle, the gadgets, Daniel’s blue eyes and last but not least the fantastic locations, where 007 gets to do his job to save the world from the villains. This time I am looking forward to it even more. The beautiful Austrian spots Sölden, Obertilliach and Altaussee are starring!
Frankly, I have never been to these places…yet. Curious about it, I wanted to have a closer look and find out why they’ve chosen these ones. Well…this is why! I love to show you the beauty of hotspots Sölden & Restaurant IceQ, picturesque Obertilliach and charming Altaussee.
Hotspot SÖLDEN & Restaurant IceQ
Gourmet Restaurant IceQ opened in December 2013. It’s located at 3.048m above sea-level and offers fine dining and panoramic views of 250 peaks over Austria, Germany and across to the Italian Dolomites. The ultimate Bond location. Unfortunately not to have a shaken Martini this time. The IceQ is starring as a futurist hospital where villain Christoph Waltz pursues his devilish plans.
Sweet & picturesque Obertilliach
Next stop turned out to be the picturesque village of Obertilliach. Time stood still here. A beautiful place with lots of traditional houses. One of them is actually starring in the film. The village is surrounded by only 16 kilometers of groomed slopes in a stunning mountain scenery. A true hidden treasure….
Serene & charming Altaussee
Last but not least they went to the charming village and lake Altaussee. It’s a very popular spot, writers and musicians love to come here.
Soon I’m going to visit Sölden and find out if they can pour a fine drink at the IceQ restaurant. Stay tuned!
