Trachten season is in full swing and the partytents are already built at the Wiesn; Oktoberfest 2016 is coming! Thé perfect moment to share my favorite dirndl designers again. Like last year, I will show you loads of stunning dirndls, for inspiration but also because it’s so much fun to have a look at all those beauties. I will show you vintage ones, traditional designs and sophisticated styles. All of them on point and designed with only one thing in mind; To make you feel at your best in Tracht and give you that irresistible feminine feeling. Ladies get ready….here they are; Ludwigs’ top 5 favorite dirndl designers of this season!
Always dress like it’s the best day of your life
Last year I had the chance to wear 3 different AlpenHerz dirndl designs, on my trip to South Tyrol. This was a fab experience. This year the designs of Verena Krist and Sandra Abt are definitely in my top 5 favorites. I’ve been following their brand for quite some time now and I love the way they combine this traditional, perfect cut with extravagant colors and rich fabrics. They absolutely create dirndls that meet the latest trends. Their collection ‘Tradition’ presents exclusive fabrics like leather and velvet. The ‘Style’ collection shows stunning silk fabrics, expensive jewelry and apron strings out of fine satin or silk. The main colors of the current autumn / winter collection “Style” are royal blue, berry and dark greens. I am proud to announce that at this year’s Almrauschparty in Kitzbühel, I will be wearing the Annabell in beautiful green, from the Style collection. I think the perfect dirndl for me to wear to the most glamorous Trachtenparty of the Alps!
KINGA MATHE is definitely one of my favorite dirndl designers. Obviously she is in this year’s Ludwigs’ Favorites list again! The first time ever I walked across the Wiesn, I wore a KINGA MATHE dirndl. I will never forget how that made me feel! From that moment on I’ve been following this fab brand and wearing it as often as I can. Kinga’s designs keep on surprising me season after season. I’m a big fan of the sophisticated and glamorous dirndl styles, the rich fabrics, perfect fit and outstanding quality. This year she also translates traditional elements into more contemporary, non-traditional items, but still with a clear hint of Tracht. I find that very cool!
Spring / Summer 2016
Fall / Winter 2016
Founded in 2011 by Constanze Schnitzler and Veronika Stork Jacklbauer, this Munich based Trachten label stands for the highest standards of craftsmanship, special materials and sense of style. This quality standard has become thé trademark of the company. The new collection is classic, innovative and stays loyal to the principles of the brand. Authentic and sometimes colorful: this is the new vintage-inspired costume collection of CocoVero. Figure-hugging cuts in unusual fabrics and colors, each piece is designed by Constanze and Veronica. You can sense their passion for creating beautiful Tracht. My eye instantly fell on the Beverly Eclipse; elegant and traditional, very modern but not too sexy and you can wear this one without a dirndl blouse. Bold colors are important elements in their collection, packed in promising names like Midnight Navy, Cashmere Rosè, Festival Fuchsia or BoysNberry….I love it!
Vintage dirndls it is! As a teenager Julia Müller started with vintage dirndls, because she loved the good quality of old, traditional fabrics. At that time it wasn’t that easy to find these specific dirndls, because styles and trends were quite different. Nowadays she has her own company and a fine collection of sweet, vintage beauties. She loves to search for those hidden gems, but also made her own dream come true. This year she designed her first Limited Dirndl Collection Fuchsdeifeswuid, that is exclusively made in Bavaria. German quality, high-class tailoring and passion for vintage, that’s what Julia stands for. Check out her stunning collection. I’m sure you will like it!
Last but certainly not least I like to show you some lovely JAN&INA Trachten designs. For quite some time I’ve been following this brand and I really like the stylish, fresh dirndl designs. Because of her passion to mix tradition and Tracht with the latest fashion, designer Janina Maria started her company to create her very own JAN&INA Trachten style. Fab quality, old-style, original designs with special details, are the characteristics and key ingredients to the lovely JAN&INA Trachten designs. Next to the on point dirndl designs, I am a big fan of their cardigans with floral folk embroidery. These slightly tailored beauties come in various flashy colors. Exactly what you need to complete your Trachtenlook!
I hope the images in my post will give you the best inspiration to find your own personal style and the ultimate dirndl. I wish you a great, feel good and happy Oktoberfest 2016!
