With the Oktoberfest in München coming up in just a couple of weeks, I’m happy to show you some beautiful dirndls again. While staying in Südtirol and Austria, I’ve been able to wear these beauties in the perfect setting of Merano, Naturno and Brand. It’s all about AlpenHerz in this post. A lovely brand that I’ve been following for quite some time now. The dirndls below are definitely my favorites in the current AlpenHerz Exclusive Designer Collection. I hope you like them and that they will give you some inspiration for this year’s Wiesn-look!
The designers and their philosophy
AlpenHerz is the brand by Sandra Abt and Verena Krist. Since 2011 they work and design together at the Alpenherz Dirndl manufactory in Kempten city center. In their studio they create the Designer and Traditional dirndls and the Couture Wedding dirndls. In each collection, the customer is captured in the wonderful world of ‘Heimatliebe‘ of AlpenHerz. Traditional materials, but also exclusive silk and lace fabrics from around the world are combined in a traditional Dirndl and Style collection.
Ludwigs’ AlpenHerz Selection
Based on the current AlpenHerz collection I’ve made my own selection of favorites. The color and fabric combinations are stunning. My selection is quite varied in design and fabric, that’s what I like so much about this brand; so many different styles.
The radiant AlpenHerz Valentina
This one is from the Style Collection; Designer Dirndl Valentina, in precious lime green. The dress is made of 100% pure silk. The upright collar makes this one very elegant and chic. The bouclé inserts in combination with the beaded lace skirt are true eye-catchers. I had never worn a dirndl with an upright collar before, but I really think it does something extra for your figure. It boosts your shoulders and even makes you stand up straighter. The Valentina is available in lime green and apricot.
The charming AlpenHerz Magdalena
This one is definitely a feast for the eyes! It delights with ruffle trims and a noble Charivari at the neckline. The dress has been kept simple deliberately, but due to the glamorous fabric choice, it’s a real looker. The rosé and silver shimmering ornament substance has a wonderful pattern and emphasizes the color-coordinated skirt, the personal touch of the Dirndl. The traditional pleated skirt and apron with the subtle floral pattern makes the Magdalena very charming and elegant.
The classy AlpenHerz Amelie
Last but not least the Amelie. In fresh turquoise and green. This rich decorated and shimmering fabric of Jaquardmieders, looks very classy and elegant. The striped apron gives it this fresh and vivid look. And also with the upright collar, I like that a lot.
Straight into the heart
Shooting these lovely dirndls gave me so much pleasure. Wearing AlpenHerz for the first time has been a great experience. The perfect fit, the colors, details and fabrics; simply wonderful. You can tell that Sandra and Verena design their dirndls with great passion. They all went straight into my heart, but one did in particular, can you guess which one it is?
