Recently l went to the beautiful Salzbugerland to enjoy Hinterglemm in all its winter glory. Not my first time at this lovely Alpine village, but my first time ever though, visiting the ADLER RESORT. I was there to attend the Grand Opening event and experience the ‘YouareAdler’ way of being a guest at this brand new house.
The drive to 4 star superior hotel DAS.GOLDBERG in Bad Hofgastein was a lovely one. Heavy snowfall had created this amazing scenery. The climb all the way up to the hotel was quite challenging, but was definitely worth it. When I walked into the hotel, the first thing that struck me was the lovely smell of fresh, roasted coffee. A good sign, instantly felt the cozyness and hospitality.
In my earlier post about our first trip to South Tyrol I promised to share more about our hotel in Naturno, close to Merano. Well here it is, 4 great reasons to stay at Spa & Family Resort Sonnenhof.
This summer we finally did it. We went to South Tyrol. Visiting this region had been on our wishlist for so long and now the time had come. Curious what the boys and I have been doing in beautiful South Tyrol? Check our sightseeing tips below.
Very soon we are leaving for our next trip. I am pretty excited about this, will be my first time to South Tyrol! I always love the researching part before traveling to a new place. It makes me want to go there asap. Because this region is on my wishlist for quite some time now, I’ve been surfing the web extensively lately. The surroundings of South Tyrol are well known for its beauty. The mountain views, palm trees and subtropical temperatures; can’t wait to experience and absorb it all. But what else is typical for this region? What should we definitely do, see, eat, drink? I’ve made a list with 10 things about South Tyrol, based on what I’ve read online and heard from locals and friends.
I am happy to share this last one in the range of beautiful Chalet Villages, at least for now….I’ve discovered many more of these treasures worth sharing, so stay tuned for more in the future. Now…let me show you the Chalet Village Böhmerwald in the beautiful Bohemian Forest; last but definitely not least!
I have to be honest with you. Being a mom of 3 boys, I’ve seen quite a few playgrounds over the last 11 years, but I didn’t know about this one in Sölden, Ötztal, yet. Not really suitable for the youngest family members I would say. This ‘ground’ is for the true daredevils amongst us. The fearless ones, the thrill seekers out there that yearn for a big time adrenaline shot. I’m pretty sure your teenage offspring would love to go here, even with mom and dad :). A little warning upfront is in place though; don’t show this post to your kids, if you’re not into some action. Showing to them is definitely going with them!
If you yearn to escape from the hustle of daily life, unwind and reload your energy level in a very pleasant way, you might consider a stay here at Bergdorf Priesteregg. It’s the combination that makes this one so very attractive: maximum privacy and the luxury features of a top notch hotel.
Kühtai is the highest skivillage in Austria ( 2.020m ) and therefore very snow-sure. For us choosing this village in December turned out to be a very good move. The predictions for most of the ski resorts around Christmas promised a green week, but Kühtai was fully covered in white.
I don’t know about you guys, but around this time of year – with the holiday’s coming up – I always have to think about the classic video by Wham! from 1984. Writing this blogpost, I realized that it’s been 30 years!! since I sat down for the TV mesmerizing, when the iconic ‘Last Christmas’ video aired for the first time. What a romantic and cosy setting to celebrate Christmas with friends in a chalet in the snow. It was definitely something I wanted to experience once in my life.
